Summary: Xuefan and her husband Tony were two individuals I wanted to include in this project from the very beginning. The pair were the original president and vice-president of the Asian American Coalition. My first conversation with the pair happened over a three-way call, and from Tony's infectious laugh and the sound of video games happening in the background, I found myself smiling throughout the entire conversation. Xuefan (Stephanie) Sun attended the University of Iowa from 1996 to 2003 going through both her undergraduate and doctorate of pharmacy degree. In this interview, Xuefan talks how she and her family had to change when they immigrated to America from China when she was 14 years old, meeting her future husband at the University of Iowa as an undergraduate, and how she became the first president of the Asian American Coalition.
