Summary: My interview with Prisma was the first one I did at the Asian Pacific American Cultural Center. Most interviews happened over Zoom due to COVID and the distance of the narrators, so when Prisma agreed to do the interview in person I was ecstatic. Being able to do the interview where Prisma worked alongside having pictures of Asian American students around the building helped make the interview feel grounded in its location. Prisma Ruacho was the former Asian Pacific American Cultural Center coordinator at the University of Iowa. In this interview, Prisma discusses how she got her position, learning about the Asian American community as a Latina woman, and working with various student groups throughout her tenure.
