Evelyn Ho

Summary: Dr. Evelyn Ho is currently a professor of communication studies at University of San Francisco where she also teaches Asian American studies classes. If one told her as a college aged student that she would have this job she would probably scoff at the idea. In this interview, Dr. Ho disucsses her childhood, her college experiences in Seattle as a student athlete and with the Asian studies department, the sudden racialization she felt when she came to Iowa for graduate school, and how the students responded to a hate crime on campus.
